You can probably forgive José Mourinho for wanting to shy away from the spotlight after his recent struggles.
The Manchester United manager was banished to the stands during Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to West Ham, a result which left the Red Devils closer to the relegation zone than the top of the Premier League table.
And he seems to have responded like any teenager would do after being sent upstairs with no dinner – he’s retreated into a hoodie and trackie bottoms and walked around with a permanent scowl.

It’s one part mopey teen and one part suburban kid who fancies himself as a rapper, not that the two are mutually exclusive. We’re still trying to work out what his stage name would be – answers on a postcard, please.

What next? Mourinho doing the hood up all the way so you can’t see his face? Actually, maybe that’s a good way for him to return to the touchline undetected for United’s next game.
Luckily he won’t be reminded of anything else from the weekend’s draw at home to West Ham as United prepare for Wednesday’s game against…oh, right. Back to the drawing board.
