It was a frustrating afternoon for Liverpool
Liverpool have returned to the top of the Premier League table with their 0-0 draw with Manchester United on Sunday but they will feel like it was two points dropped after several injuries forced the hosts into three first-half substitutions and a change of strategy.
Jurgen Klopp admitted after the game that his side wasn’t up to scratch at Old Trafford and his frustration was clear to see on several occasions throughout the second half.
Reds captain Jordan Henderson felt Klopp’s wrath with 20 minutes left to play, when the midfielder was withdrawn so that Xherdan Shaqiri could enter the fray.
Henderson appeared to ignore Klopp as he made his way to the bench, instead applauding the travelling support and not even looking at his manager, whose hand was outstretched for a handshake.

Never seen Klopp look so agitated towards his own players who are struggling for slickness. Gave it to Henderson (who should know better) too for not shaking his hand when subbed.
Van Dijk a joy to watch again. Not too much else worth noting in the positive about that. #MANLIV

Klopp clearly not happy at full-time. Performance far from what he’d have wanted. Also, you can definitely hear him say ‘you didn’t shake my hand’ to Henderson when he came off. Henderson said ‘I was clapping to the fans’.

Clearly recognising that he had upset Klopp, Henderson returned to the sideline seconds later and attempted to make amends but the German made his anger known.
“You didn’t shake my hand!” Klopp said angrily before returning to the technical area to concentrate on the rest of the match.
Klopp admitted he was “animated on the touchline” in his post-match interview but insisted he did not want to dwell on the result and was looking forward to the upcoming midweek clash with Watford.
“I’m not too much interested in the game now,” he said. “I’m thinking about Wednesday.”
