Jurgen Klopp to be confirmed as Liverpool boss after agreeing three year deal, report claims

Simon Lloyd

Less than 24 hours after Brendan Rodgers’ departure from Liverpool was announced, a replacement may have already signed a deal to take over.

Liverpool’s poor start to the season has seen Jurgen Klopp’s name linked with the manager’s job for weeks.

The news of Rodgers’ sacking on Sunday saw many assume that a deal for the former Borussia Dortmund coach was close.  Now, if one report is to be believed, he may have already signed on the dotted line.

A report from Bosnian outlet Pravdabl – stay with us, there might be more to this than you think – suggests Klopp will be announced as Liverpool boss at some point on Monday.

While they might not be everyone’s go-to newspaper and some will question the credibility of the reports, it’s thought the news might have been leaked by someone close to the man that Klopp is likely to appoint as his assistant – Zeljko Buvac.

Buvac is Bosnian, and Pravdabl now claim that they will be given permission to break the story exclusively.

We’re far from convinced, but maybe we should keep an eye on this one.
