God bless you, Stefano Sturaro.
At just 23, you’re talented enough to feature regularly for one of the finest football sides on the planet. You almost certainly earn more in a week than most of us do in a year for the privilege, too.
But on Wednesday night, you produced a moment of football so comically bad, it could’ve been any of our hugely hung-over Sunday League teammates, dressed up in a full Juventus kit.
Hosting Lyon, the Italian champions were a goal up when the midfielder received the ball with 15 minutes of regulation time to go.
Doing what every football coach he’s ever had in his life will have told him, Sturaro gets his head up to look for his next pass. With his eyes fixed on what’s going on further up the field, he miscontrols the ball. His poor touch clearly takes him by surprise and in the split second of sheer panic that follows he realises it’s no longer at his feet.
Realising this, the Italian international produces the most fantastically-unnecessary 360 spin ever seen on a football field as the Lyon midfield seize on the loose ball.
Have a look, it really is a special moment.

Minutes later Lyon snatched an equaliser, enough to earn them a point from their night in Turin. Never mind the goals though, this is undoubtedly the highlight of the match.
