Kevin Nolan was sacked as manager of Notts County after a winless start to the season
The former West Ham, Bolton and Newcastle United midfielder had been with Notts County since January 2017 and led them to the League Two play offs last season, where they were defeated by eventual winners Coventry City.
His sacking came off the back of a poor run of form, which has seen the side formerly managed by Sven-Goran Eriksson go five league games without a win at the start of the season.
While a number of managers including AFC Wimbledon’s Neil Eardley have been linked with the position, the BBC has reported that former Liverpool midfielder and current Crawley Town manager Harry Kewell could speak to the club about the vacant manager’s position.
Crawley are yet to grant the Nottingham side permission to speak to the Australian coach, who was part of the Liverpool side which defeated AC Milan in the Champions League final in 2005.
Kewell took charge of Crawley in May 2017, and his team currently sit 14th in the League Two table. Notts County sit bottom.
