It looks like Franck Ribéry will be playing a lot this season
Kingsley Coman is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury during Bayern’s win over Hoffenheim last night.
The French international will face “several weeks” out of action after tearing the same ligament in his ankle that required surgery back in February.
Coman sustained the injury when Hoffenheim defender Nico Schulz left a late tackle on him. Medical staff had to assist Coman as he left the pitch unable to put any pressure on his left foot.
“It doesn’t look good for now. He is in severe pain,” Bayern boss Nico Kovac told reporters after the game.
“He will have tests tonight. I hope it’s not serious but we are fearing the worst.”
Bayern later confirmed that he will require surgery on his ankle again.
Kingsley Coman has suffered a syndesmosis ligament tear in his left ankle and will be out for several weeks.

Coman missed a large chunk of last season with this injury and subsequently missed out on France’s victorious World Cup campaign.
Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben will now have to play most games for Bayern, as Thomas Müller takes up a central role after the club sold Arturo Vidal to Barcelona.
