‘Ready To Be Heard Again’
Leeds have made their presence in the Premier League known in their first three games since promotion. Playing their unique, swashbuckling, intense, fearless brand of football, they are quickly becoming a neutral’s favourite to watch. After 16 years away, they want to make their presence known.
And that is what makes their newly unveiled third kit so perfect for this season, even if it’s the colour of red-wine-hangover-vomit.

Leeds’ website explains that this maroon (never red, they’re very keen to emphasise it IS NOT RED), is a nod to 1970/71, 50 years ago, when Leeds were about to start a European adventure in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, looking for a repeat of glory in 1968.
On the design itself, in typically weird fashionese, the club website explains that: “With a tonal front pattern design and solid maroon sleeves and back, the famous three stripes line the shoulders in gold.
“The v-neck design has the Leeds United badge sitting proudly on the chest in gold and has moisture absorbing AEROREADY technology, so you can stay cool and dry every step of the way.
“Maroon shorts and socks accompany the top, tipped with gold, completing a kit which celebrates the past and can be worn with pride.”
