Leicester plan to appeal.
Leicester City have had an application to register a new signing rejected by Fifa because they missed the deadline by 14 seconds. The former Premier League champions signed Adrien Silva from Sporting Lisbon for £22m on transfer deadline day.
However, Fifa say the player’s registration was not completed in time, and Silva is, therefore, ineligible to play for his new team until January.
Right I've firmed it up…FIFA have indeed rejected Adrien Silva registration, Leicester appealing. They missed the deadline by 14 SECONDS.

According to the BBC, Leicester are “exploring all options to find a resolution” and they will try appeal the decision by world football’s governing body.
The Premier League club will have to pay Silva’s wages in the meantime. He’s not registered to play, but he’s still contracted to the club.
The Portuguese midfielder was meant to be a replacement for Danny Drinkwater, who joined Chelsea for £35m on the same day.
Silva played in Sporting’s first-team for 10 years, and was part of Portugal’s squad when they won Euro 2016 last summer. Because of 14 seconds, he might have to wait three months for his Premier League debut.
