The Leicester City squad and staff will travel to Thailand after Saturday’s Premier League match against Cardiff
The club’s owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, was killed in a tragic helicopter crash at the King Power Stadium last weekend, along with four others on board.
Foxes boss Claude Puel spoke about “one of the hardest weeks in the history of the football club” in a press conference on Friday.
“The tragic loss of five lives has left us all numb with sadness and shock,” said Puel.
“Our prayers and love remain with Vichai’s family and all the families who have lost loved ones.
“Vichai made Leicester City into what it is. He made it a family. He made it dream. He invested in the club, he invested in the city and the people.
“He truly was loved by everyone inside and outside the club. Personally, it was a privilege to work for him and I will cherish the belief that he showed in me and the great moments we shared.”
The manager will travel with the team to Thailand on Saturday evening, where they will pay their respects at Srivaddhanaprabha’s funeral.
According to Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett, the squad will be in the country for 36 hours, and will visit the temple where Srivaddhanaprabha – known to friends and family as Khun Vichai – has been laid to rest.

Puel said earlier this week that the team hoped to make the trip to pay tribute to a man who did so much for the club and local community, and offer their support to his family.
Leicester’s midweek EFL Cup match against Southampton was postponed in the wake of last weekend’s terrible tragedy.
After Saturday’s trip to Cardiff, they will next be in action on November 10th when they host Burnley at the King Power Stadium.
