Harry Maguire was one of England’s stand out performers at the World Cup. His dominant performances from the left of a back three surprised a few people, who weren’t aware that he had it in his locker to play such a demanding role.
His notable performances at the World Cup have sparked interest from Manchester United, who are on the hunt for a new central defender.
United have reportedly informed Leicester City that they want to sign the £65m rated defender, and Leicester have responded by telling them that he is not for sale.

A year ago, if someone had told you that Leicester would turn down a £65m bid for Harry Maguire, you’d have laughed at them. But such is the fast changing nature of the footballing world, and the power of a good World Cup in inflating a transfer fee, that scenario has become reality.
United’s approach for Maguire would suggest that they have given up on trying to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld, who has two years left in his contract that contains a release clause that will kick in next summer.
