Leicester City’s new red away kit is definitely fit for champions

JOE

The Premier League champions will be wearing all red next season.

Leicester City have launched their away kit for the 2016/17 season, and they’ve opted for all red, instead of last season’s white and black kits.

While you might think that the Foxes would be worried to change anything from the season that saw them astonishingly claim the Premier League crown, they’ve totally changed their second strip ahead of their title defence next season.

And it seems that they are channelling past champions Manchester United and Arsenal as they have opted for a striking red kit that is distinctly different from their blue home get up.

Manufactured by Puma, and set to feature the gold Premier League logos on the sleeves, we reckon it’ll go down well with the fervent Leicester fan base.

Fans might be worried that, upon further inspection, the all-red kit is more Liverpool than Manchester United, but there’s no way that football fans will get superstitious about something as silly as this. Right?

Either way, Leicester captain Wes Morgan seems happy with it, saying:

“The kit looks fantastic – it’s a great design that I’m sure the fans will love. When you’re on the way to an away game and you see the fans out in force, decked out in their colours, it’s a brilliant feeling. It always feels like we’re in it together.”
