Victory at Everton has ensured that Leicester City will be top of the Premier League table at Christmas.
It’s a stark contrast from this time last year, when a 2-0 defeat at West Ham saw the Foxes rooted to the bottom of the table heading into the festive period.
While we can obviously forgive people for not expecting Claudio Ranieri’s team to do quite so well (after all, few will have predicted this), plenty might be hastily deleting old tweets suggesting the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez would be heading down to the Championship.
