Leicester City have parted ways with manager Nigel Pearson over “fundamental differences in perspective”, the club have announced.
It is believed that the club’s owners insisted the Foxes’ new kit is blue and black, whereas Pearson was convinced it was white and gold.
The manager, who was in his second spell with the Premier League team, refused to budge on the matter, asking chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha to look at it from a different angle.
The final straw is believed to have come when Pearson
accused Srivaddhanaprabha of having his head in the sand, asking him “are you an ostrich”.
JOE.co.uk has learned from independent sources that the kit appears to be white and gold at first glance, but after
holding up a white sheet of paper alongside the new home shirt it is clearly blue and black.
