Are Liverpool thinking of cutting their losses on Daniel Sturridge?

The end is nigh

Daniel Sturridge’s Liverpool future looks increasingly insecure after Jurgen Klopp failed to back the England striker to re-appear any time soon.

The former Chelsea man is in the midst of a lengthy battle with hamstring injuries. and has barely featured for Liverpool again this season.

Ahead of the FA Cup clash with West Ham United, Jurgen Klopp once again revealed he was unsure when the club would see the forward in red again.

‘He is still working. Sometimes it is better, sometimes it is a bit worse because of other issues,” Klopp said.

“That is all. He has done a lot of sessions in the last few weeks but it is always interrupted with a few breaks. He needs consistency in the sessions and that’s what we try to do.”

Liverpool have been linked with signing Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen, and it seems at least one former Liverpool player feels the club are already looking to ship him out of the club.

Phil Thompson has claimed patience has finally worn thin at Anfield over the striker’s constant injury bothers.

Thommo may be wide of the mark, but we doubt any Liverpool fans would be that surprised if was to be dumped this summer.
