Liverpool have been linked with a surprise move for Manchester United outcast Javier Hernandez, whose days at Old Trafford appearĀ to be numbered.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, the Mexico international is also being targeted by ItalianĀ duoĀ Juventus and Inter Milan.
Hernandez spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, scoring seven goals in 23 appearances, many of which came as a substitute.
The Spanish giantsĀ are not believed to be interested in makingĀ the deal permanent, opening the door to other clubs.
Liverpool have already spent big this summer, bringing in Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim and also strengthening their front-line with the capture of Burnley’s Danny Ings.
However, with Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini both linked with moves away from Anfield, manager Brendan Rodgers could be on the lookout for another striker.
Fans of the MerseysideĀ club seem keen on bringing in the 27-year-old, who offers Premier League experience and an impressive goalscoring record at the top level.
Would love javier Hernandez at liverpool #LFC
