Watch Liverpool somehow recoup all the Jota money

Liverpool are in negotiations with Burnley over the possible sale of Harry Wilson, according to The Athletic.

Wilson has spent the last few seasons out on loan, at Bournemouth last season and at Derby County under Frank Lampard the year before that.

The attacking midfielder’s best form came in that Derby team alongside Mason Mount when the Rams reached the play-off final but lost to Aston Villa.

Wilson faces tough competition to get into the Liverpool team, even as a back-up option after the arrival of Diogo Jota from Wolves. And it appears the time has come for the 23-year-old Wales international to seek first team football elsewhere.

Burnley could offer him the game time he seeks and would benefit hugely from his set piece delivery, given their direct style of play.

There has not yet been any indication of how much Burnley will have to pay for the player, but given Liverpool’s recent record in the transfer window, don’t be surprised to see them recoup a huge chunk of the money they spent on Jota.
