Woodburn made his debut for the Liverpool first team in November 2016 and has since made 11 first team appearances.
The Wales international became Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer when he scored against Leeds United in the League Cup at Anfield.
The Football League begins this weekend, and Sheffield United kick off their campaign against Swansea at Bramall Lane.
