What a difference 90 minutes can make.
Ahead of kick-off, Steven Gerrard’s presence in the stands was met with a positive emotional reaction from the vast majority of Liverpool fans.
But after Crystal Palace had beaten the Reds 2-1 at Anfield, there was a different set of feelings coming from the supporters as they began pointing the finger at a “Gerrard curse” for causing Jurgen Klopp’s first defeat as Liverpool manager.
More Liverpool fans than you’d expect put the blame at the door of their former captain due to the fact that Gerrard’s final game at Anfield resulted in a Liverpool defeat to the same opposition.
Get the tin foil hats out, lads.

I blame Gerrard. Somehow. I don't know. His presence in the stands. Ugh. I'm depressed now.
