A blast from the past?
Admittedly, this side of Christmas, it might seem a little premature to be looking ahead to next season – but when it comes to leaked kit information, we can usually make the odd small exception.
The 2021/22 campaign will be Liverpool’s second with Nike, and details about how they intend to tweak the Premier League champions’ changed strips are already coming thick and fast.
Footy Headlines, who always, always have their finger on the pulse when it comes to leaked kit info, have already told us that it’s likely Liverpool’s next third kit will be all-yellow. Now, the same website point us in the direction of more information about the Anfield club’s next away shirt.
Featuring a tweet from @FumlerRawk, who had already indicated earlier in the year that Liverpool will be wearing a light beige shirt for some of their away games next season, we are now told the shirt will be accompanied by black shorts.
Of course, being the world of football kit design, Nike were never going to simply call it a ‘beige’ shirt, were they? Instead, it is said to be ‘fossil’, with ‘bright crimson’ and ‘dark atomic teal’ trims.
Though there is still no information about the intended colour for the socks, the tweet also features an image of a mocked-up design of what the kit could look like. It also features an image of a football which is also expected to be launched as part of the collection.
UPDATE: from what I understand, the shorts will be black and fossil(ecru) for the away kit 21/22.

At a glance, it seems Nike are putting a modern twist on the beige shirts worn by the club in the late 1990s, seen below in the 1996/97 season.
