Louis van Gaal humiliates Victor Valdes with new training rules

This is harsh...

Tom Victor

If you thought Victor Valdes had patched things up with Louis van Gaal, think again.

The Spanish goalkeeper was put up for sale by Manchester United over the summer after apparently refusing to play for the reserves, but it had looked as though he had settled his differences with LVG.

Now, though, details have emerged of new training rules which to the untrained eye might look like the Dutchman trying to grind Valdes down until he leaves of his own accord.

Not only is Valdes required to train on his own, but he is being actively kept away from the first team by the Dutchman by being forced to come in to the Carrington training ground at a different time of day to the likes of David De Gea and Sergio Romero.

Valdes has played just twice for United’s first team, against Arsenal and Hull City at the end of last season, and he seems unlikely to turn out for the first team again.
