He stole the show at the World Cup and was reportedly ready to leave Real Madrid
Luka Modrić has rubbished claims that he made contact with Inter Milan to discuss a move this summer.
A football based Instagram account, ‘@futbolalreves’, posted a graphic reporting that Madrid had filed a complaint to FIFA over Inter tapping up Modrić, and that according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Modrić informed Inter that he made the initial contact.
Modrić commented on the post, explaining that “that is the most ridiculous thing in history!”.

Losing Modrić would have been a huge blow for Madrid having already sold Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, but they have kept hold of their midfield maestro who now looks certain to stay put for another season at least.
