Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is to go under the knife for a second time after his gruesome leg break against PSV Eindhoven.
The England left-back suffered a broken tibia and fibula following the reckless challenge by Hector Moreno, and underwent an initial operation straight after the game.
The Mirror report that Shaw will now require a second operation at the St Anna Ziekenhuis hospital near Eindhoven, on Thursday evening.
The initial plan was for the defender to return to Manchester for further treatment this week, but his return may now be delayed by a number of days.
It is too soon to estimate a return to training or first-team action, but the hope is that he will see at least some action this season.
