The club will play at the same ground, Moss Rose
The town of Macclesfield will have a new football club after Robert Smethurst bought the assets of the club.
Macclesfield Town were given a winding up order in the High Court and expelled from the National League, but will now compete as Macclesfield FC at the same stadium, Moss Rose.
Robbie Savage will serve as head of football operations at the phoenix club.

Macclesfield had been suspended from the National League before their expulsion before the Insolvency and Companies Court wound up the club over unpaid debts of more than £500,000 on September 16.
