Man United are reportedly lining up Neymar and a few other huge transfer deals

Simon Lloyd

If Friday’s papers are to be believed, Manchester United are showing no signs of curbing their recent free-spending ways.

Having failed to qualify for the Champions League knock out stages, there’s been plenty said and written about the quality of some of their current crop of players. Former captain Roy Keane was one of the first to question United’s recruitment and transfer policy.

Now though, it seems the club are making moves to address this. It’s claimed in The Times that United are pursuing separate deals for Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

The report also states that the club are monitoring the situation with Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich and are also keeping an eye on a potential move for Harry Kane.

Elsewhere, a report in the Daily Star links Louis van Gaal with a record breaking swoop for Everton’s John Stones.

The youngster was signed for Everton by David Moyes and would cost United £50m.

With Chelsea pushing hard to try and sign Stones over the summer, any move for him is unlikely to be unrivalled by another club.
