Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian reportedly has his sights set on a career in interior design once his football career draws to a close.
A college qualification could see him trade changing rooms for Changing Rooms – and he may well end up forming a team with his girlfriend, who has similar aspirations.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, Darmian’s partner Francesca Cormanni is already working as an interior designer, potentially opening doors for the Italy international.
He wouldn’t be the first Premier League footballer with such creative post-career plans – former Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin designs women’s clothes in his spare time and is thought to be keen on making his hobby full-time when he quits.

But with so many players at a loose end after giving up the game, it’s good that Darmian has something to full back on.
