It had to happen.
It was written in the stars.
It is Zlatan.
The Swedish superstar was signed for goals – and he’s delivered on his very first outing for the Manchester United.
Perhaps the only man on the staff at Old Trafford to have a bigger ego than boss Jose Mourinho, Ibrahimovic sill surely have been expecting to net on his first time out for the club at Wembley, and he didn’t disappoint.
In an otherwise quiet game for the former PSG striker, he rose higher than anyone else in the box to head home the winner for United on the day as it finished 2-1.
It's that man Zlatan. 🙌 #ZlatanTime #CommunityShield https://t.co/TrzBvAr26B

Cue Twitter bedlam as Manchester United fans fell over themselves to hail the arrival of a new king.
This just proves the impact Zlatan is going to make,on debut,to break the dead lock…He bangs… #ZlatanTime

The Zlatan Effect
— Hi. I’m Pat. (@PatTweetsAgain) August 7, 2016
Zlatan > The World

There was more than a hint of offside about the goal, but presumably that rule simply doesn’t apply to Himself?
Haters wee say Lord Zlatan's nose was offside.. 😂😂😂 https://t.co/FnTg0HYVKP
— SirLAMPS (@Super_Spotter) August 7, 2016
The potentially winning goal not only being scored by Zlatan but offside as well is the greatest thing I could ask for. Ultra piss boil.
— Sam (@TurdFergusonMBE) August 7, 2016
BT Sport commentator:
"Yes Zlatan is marginally offside, but you can't deny he's got himself into a great position."That makes sense…
— Chris Goodwin (@FinallyCGG) August 7, 2016
Offside is never going to be given in situations like Zlatan's goal. Commentators need to get over it
— Vinnie Shaw 🇺🇦 (@HistoryShawV) August 7, 2016
And he did all that even after being spotted lazing about in the stands before kick off…
Just spotted @Ibra_official in the stands.. What's happening 😂😂😂 Yessss #Zlatan pic.twitter.com/omIpaFFM99

Jesse Lingard had given United the lead with a stunning solo goal (and very dodgy celebration):
What a superb solo goal. @JesseLingard dances through the @LCFC defence to give @ManUtd the lead.🔥 #CommunityShield https://t.co/A4YMerfonQ

Before Jamie Vardy equalised after pouncing on a mistake by Marouane Fellaini:
New season, same @vardy7. The @LCFC striker pounces on @Fellaini's terrible backpass. #CommunityShield https://t.co/LVTtSc3kWr

But it was Zlatan that had the last word. We suspect not for the last time this season.
