Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United’s match against West Ham, the club has confirmed.
The England striker, who was sent off the last time the two teams met at Old Trafford, has been ruled out with an ankle injury and will also miss the crucial Champions League trip to Wolfsburg.
Rooney’s record against the Hammers is rather impressive – he has scored 10 times in his last 12 appearances against the London club – yet he is yet to impress against any opposition this season.
So it probably shouldn’t come as much of as a surprise that Man United fans aren’t too bothered by his absence.
Thank God Rooney is out of the West Ham game….
