Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored both Stoke goals in their 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday evening.
It was an individual performance that caught the eye of Garth Crooks, who saw fit to name the Cameroon international in his latest Premier League Team of the Week.
Strangely, as well as praising Choupo-Moting’s performance, Crooks also used the opportunity to criticise Manchester United’s Paul Pogba for his latest choice of hairstyle.
‘I also want to discuss Paul Pogba’s new hairstyle, which features a red streak,’ Crooks writes for the BBC. ‘I only mention it because he clearly wants to bring it to our attention. There is so much for the midfielder to do at United and he still insists on behaving like an adolescent.
‘Granted, a hairstyle is not going to determine how well he can control a ball or make a pass, but it does say something about where his mind is at the moment.
‘If you are going to attract attention to yourself on a football pitch do it with goals and performances, not cheap gimmicks and marketing tricks.’
After returning to Old Trafford for £89m last summer, Pogba was often criticised for underperforming during his first season back at United. Despite this, the French international has started the new season strongly and was arguably United’s best performer at the Bet365 Stadium.
Unsurprisingly, Crooks’ assessment of Pogba’s haircut hasn’t gone down with United supporters…

Worst pundit around and I include Savage in that. An embarrassment.
