Wayne Rooney eclipsed Sir Bobby Charlton as England’s record goalscorer with a penalty against Switzerland.
Rooney’s 50th international goal ensured that England will finish top of Group E as they maintained their 100% run in the current qualifying campaign.
Many of the Manchester United man’s teammates took to Twitter to congratulate their captain on his landmark goal.
