It doesn’t take much for some transfer-hungry football fans to believe a big move is on the cards.
We live in a world where a player liking something vaguely related to another club on Instagram can be enough in some people’s eyes to mean they’re angling for a move to that particular team.
Unsurprisingly, there’s currently plenty of interest in where Romelu Lukaku will be plying his trade next season. The Belgian, who is the joint top scorer in the Premier League at present, recently indicated that he had no intentions of signing a new contract to stay with Everton.
So, with newspaper talk linking him with moves to several clubs across Europe, transfer muppets everywhere are on the hunt for clues as to where he’ll end up. Mino Raiola, for those not in the know, is Lukaku’s agent. The Lowry Hotel is where several Manchester United players currently live and is a regular meeting place for the squad on the eve of matches. The sight of Raiola had raised hopes…

Not that anyone should be getting ahead of themselves. Raiola is also the agent of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. With Ibrahimovic yet to commit to a second year at United, there’s every chance that his agent’s visit to the Lowry could’ve had something to do with this.
