Man United’s teenage starlet Andreas Pereira has spoken to the Brazilian media about being the subject of a salacious newspaper story.
Last year, Kelly McKinney told the Sun that the midfielder had offered her a total of £10,000 to have sex with both himself and teammate Paddy McNair.
Pereira denies that this exchange took place and opened up to UOL Esporte about the story in question.
“I was really surprised because it’s not true,” the 19-year-old explained. “It was the first time that happened to me. But it’s part of things here [in England], I have to learn to deal with it.”
The youngster stressed that he was innocent of the alleged indecent proposal. “But I didn’t do anything. They will invent if they want to invent.”
As well as his brush with newspaper infamy, the former PSV Eindhoven apprentice admitted that were other factors that he had to get used after moving to Old Trafford.
“Manchester is a difficult city to adapt,” he said. “It rains a lot, it’s cold. In the Netherlands [it also rains], but it’s different.
“The food is also complicated. But my mother is now living here, [that] helps a lot in this part.”
