Martial has told Rangnick that he wants to leave Old Trafford
Manchester United have rejected a loan offer from Sevilla for striker Anthony Martial, as per BBC Sport.
The French forward has previously told interim manager Ralf Rangnick that he wants to leave Old Trafford in search of regular first-team football.
However, Rangnick has insisted that he will only be allowed to leave if the deal suits United.
According to the BBC, Sevilla were confident of securing the signing of Martial during January’s transfer window, but it is thought that they only offered to pay half of his wages, which are understood to be around £150,000 a week.
The Red Devils will only allow the frontman to leave if a loan fee is offered, as well as all of the player’s wages being covered.

Martial was the world’s most expensive teenage footballer when he signed for United, arriving from Monaco for £36m in 2015.
Despite scoring 79 goals in 268 appearances for the Red Devils, he has struggled for game time this season following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Jadon Sancho.
The striker has made just 10 appearances in all competitions this season and has not featured since Rangnick arrived at the club.
Martial is said to be unhappy at his lack of playing time and eager to find a new club when the window opens in January.
“Anthony wishes to leave the club in January,” Philippe Lamboley, executive director of USFA Management, told Sky Sports.
“He just needs to play. He doesn’t want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon.”
