Zaha failed to make an impression at Old Trafford
Manchester United could be set to make up to £15m if Wilfried Zaha leaves Crystal Palace this summer.
Zaha is reportedly interested in a move away from Selhurst Park after telling his club he wants to leave in order to play Champions League football.
The club are reluctant to see him move on but may be open to his departure for a transfer fee of over £80m.
Should they receive such an offer, the Daily Mail report United are set to take 20 per cent of any profit made due to a clause they inserted into the deal which saw Zaha return to Palace in 2015.
The Ivory Coast international had joined United from Palace in January 2013, but was loaned back to the London club for the remainder of that season.
Moving to Old Trafford that summer, he found his opportunities limited by David Moyes and was eventually loaned to Cardiff City the following January.
He returned to Palace in the summer of 2014, making an initial loan deal permanent for just £6m a year later. He has since established himself as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League and is said to be interesting the likes of Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
Should a club agree a fee of around £80m, United could therefore receive £15m for the 26-year-old.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would appreciate such funds in a summer when he is expected to oversee a significant overhaul of his first team squad following their disappointing end to the season, where they missed out on Champions League qualification.
With Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia already confirming their departures, United are in need of replacements at right-back and in midfield, whereas another midfielder, a central defender and a right-sided forward are also thought to be priorities.
Zaha himself has been linked with a move to United – despite the fact they will be playing Europa League football next season. The Telegraph report he is open to a second stint at Old Trafford, despite failing to make an impact when he was younger.
