Manchester City fans play Zlatan Ibrahimovic prank on Manchester United ticket office

Simon Lloyd

In the last few years, Manchester’s football landscape has changed considerably.

While United claimed every trophy in sight during the nineties and noughties, City were the butt of their neighbours’ jokes.

A few hundred million petrodollars later, and things are a little different. The likes of Danny Tiatto and Kevin Horlock have been replaced by Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero, with City becoming a serious force in world football.

Down the road at Old Trafford, United are trophyless since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure in 2013 (that Community Shield doesn’t count) and as you might expect, City fans are loving every second of it.

Ahead of the Blue’s first ever Champions League quarter final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain, fan channel Blue Moon Rising have decided to play a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-inspired prank on the United ticket office.

Sky Sports broke the news on Monday that the PSG forward fancied a move to United, but only on the condition that Louis van Gaal was no longer the manager when he arrived.

On the strength of this, ‘Zlatan’ attempts to order tickets for a United game, before making clear one or two other things he’d like addressing before he joins the club in the summer.

It’s not the first prank that City fans have played on the United ticket office; it probably won’t be the last.
