First impressions: bad
As of next season, Manchester City’s kits will be made by Puma after the club switched manufacturers, signing a 10-year deal worth £650m with the brand.
Photos of the first kit to be made by Puma have leaked and if they are legit, reveal that the sleeves on City’s new jersey will feature purple patches on the sleeves.
This image, obtained by Footyhealdines.com, reveals the pattern on what could be City’s home shirt for the 2019/20 season.
It’s a bit gross, isn’t it? I love a purple kit – I own a Fiorentina jacket – but this shade of purple, on this shade of blue? No thank you.
If this is indeed legit, it’s by far the worst of all the kits puma have released in recent years. Look at Crystal Palace’s kit for next season for example, it’s a beauty.
