Manchester United fans will rejoice at the latest news about their star player.
Ander Herrera is undoubtedly Manchester United’s most popular player given his leadership on the pitch and sheer desire to don the jersey.
There have been talks that the 27-year-old could leave with Barcelona interested in acquiring his services but that does not look to be the case.
According to the  Mirror, the club are keen to hold onto their midfield maestro and have begun talks on a new contract.
The newspaper reports that the club signed Herrera to a four-year-deal back in 2014 worth £100,000 a week but now want to tie him down until 2021 with a deal worth about £150,000 weekly.
The Spaniard has given reason to be loved at Old Trafford after being a massive influence in the Europa League Final.
He also released a video about when he realised he was joining the club which only cemented the love for him.
