The last Anderson to grace the hallowed turf at Old Trafford didn’t exactly turn out to be a world beater.
So Manchester United are in for another one – this time it’s Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Louis van Gaal reportedly wanted to bring the star to United over the summer, but a £28m offer was rejected by the Serie A side.
Now Van Gaal is ready to try to reignite a possible deal for the Brazilian who has already netted five times in 15 games this year.
Bayern Munich and PSG are also interested in singing the highly-rated young player.
But a potential stumbling block might be the £56m release clause in the new contract he signed with Lazio.
Still, reports in the Italian media suggest the player may be open to a January move to Manchester after reportedly being upset the summer deal didn’t come off.
