It’s not been one of Manchester United’s more memorable seasons to date, yet the club remains on course to earn more than £500m in the space of a year – something no other British club has managed to do.
The club’s executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, announced on Thursday that the club’s revenue in the three months to December 21 rose by 26.6% to a staggering £133.8m.
Commercial revenue at United has soared by 42.5% to £66.1m while broadcast revenue increased by 31.3%.
“Our solid results off the pitch help contribute to what remains our number one priority – success on the pitch,” Woodward said.
As well as this, it was also noted that the club’s debt is now £322.1m.
