With Wayne Rooney sidelined by injury, there was a lot of pressure on Memphis Depay to rise to the occasion for Manchester United against Liverpool.
Memphis is only 21 but the comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo haven’t stopped. Now, every mistake that the wide man makes – usually out of trying too hard to impress – is starting to be jumped on more and more.
After an underwhelming first half, which led to him being replaced by Ashley Young at the break, fans of United and their Premier League rivals made their thoughts know.

Depay is the biggest fraud since Hazard. As overrated. Both very good players, but massively overrated.
