Loads of people are making the same Pogba joke after rumours Man United are selling another youngster

With the latest Paul Pogba developments, you’d think Manchester United fans would be pretty happy with the way Jose Mourinho’s first few weeks at the helm have panned out, wouldn’t you?

A fresh wave of reports from the continent have suggested that a deal for the 23-year-old is imminent, and a tweeted video from adidas’ football account has raised the hopes of even the most cynical of United supporter.

With Mourinho already recruiting Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan ahead of his first season in charge at Old Trafford, the arrival of Pogba would be a huge coup – especially when you consider that they won’t be participating in the Champions League until September 2017 at the earliest.

So, United fans don’t have any reasons to moan, do they? Well, yes, actually.

Manchester United youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah impressed when appearing in the United first team towards the end of last season, but a story is now doing the rounds that the Dutchman could be moved on by Mourinho as part of a mini-exodus of players.

If we’re being honest, it sounds like bollocks to us. Fosu-Mensah has recently been given a new lower squad number ahead of the season and there’s no obvious signs that he could be about to leave. In fact, it seems like the rumour was sparked by his absence from training on Thursday – but the player has since suggested that he missed out through injury.
