Manchester United fans love Marcos Rojo.
They love him so much that they’ve used the ‘…is red’ suffix for several more signings, despite none of their names meaning ‘red’ in Spanish.
They love him so much that they’ve spent the summer watching his masterclass against Borussia Dortmund over and over, keeping their heads in their hands throughout…presumably so it’s easier to move them down to applaud his every touch.

In two short years, Rojo has endeared himself to the Old Trafford faithful so much that they’re hugely excited whenever there’s even the slightest hint that the Argentine might take to the field.

So when there was talk of Rojo jetting off to the Chinese Super League, some fans struggled to hide their pain at the prospect of a potential club legend abandoning the squad. Sure, the transfer window may have already closed in China, but fans were fearful that such a great talent would have been able to make it happen through sheer force of will.
Rojo better go to China

Thankfully it was a false alarm, though. Rojo has said he wants to stay, much to the delight of everyone who has ever passed through those famous Old Trafford turnstiles.

Now they’re all looking forward to a season of defensive solidity, with Rojo and the ever-popular Phil Jones ensuring the United back-line is stronger than ever.

They’ve surely never had it better.
