Although, United are linked with a lot of players and several clubs are after Goretzka. United will likely face tough competition from Bayern Munich as the German champions look to bolster their midfield depth too.
Goretzka’s contract is running down and in the summer of 2018 he will be available to sign on a free transfer and won’t be short of options.
The 22-year-old central-midfielder would add more dynamism and creativity to the United midfield, and standing at 6 foot 3 inches, Mourinho will love his physical presence.
