Mesut Ozil might well have had a memorable season so far, but according to one Manchester United star, the German lacks consistency.
Ander Herrera won’t be playing any more Champions League football this season (and probably won’t be next season, either), but the Spaniard is looking forward to the last 16 meeting between Barcelona and Arsenal.
Speaking to Marca, Herrera revealed that – of all the players who will feature in the last 16 tie – Andres Iniesta is the man that impresses him the most.
“For me there’s only one Iniesta,” the Spaniard revealed. “I love playing against him…to tell my grandchildren in the future – but I did suffer as a rival.”
Looking at the Arsenal midfield, Herrera points out that, despite being inconsistent, Ozil can be devastating when on form.
“Arsenal have Francis Coquelin, Ozil… [But ] Mesut isn’t so consistent, although he makes the difference when he’s on his day.”
