Mauricio Pochettino is a man in demand.
Manchester United are a club in need.
Well, it seems that way some weeks. Then van Gaal puts a string of results together and, at the last count, fans said they would keep the Dutch man… IF United won the FA Cup and qualified for the Champions League.
Tottenham Hotspur meanwhile look to have blown their best chance of league glory in a long, long time – and possibly for an even longer time in the future – with their draw with West Brom on Monday night. Spurs sit seven points off the lead with just three games remaining.
Pochettino’s future still sits up in the air.
According to Ladbrokes anyway.
And, speaking to French radio station RMC, the Argentina native is planning ahead with Spurs but he also admitted that managing a team like PSG is ‘part of his dreams’.
“I’ve always said that I would be pleased to join a great club like PSG,” he said on RMC. “Come to Paris? I hope so. It is true that it would please me. It’s part of my dreams. I try to watch all their matches, especially in the Champions League.
“The [French] championship is not very attractive because PSG is far from the other teams but I look a lot because it is a major source of players. There is talent so I have to follow Ligue 1.
“We are looking for a striker this summer, that’s clear. Michy’s a young player who has a lot of talent. He is on the list of many clubs.
“We have quite a few people who have given us information about him. He has good potential. We’ll see. We have other players in our sights too.”
