Toni Kroos is already earning a healthy amount, but a switch to either of the Manchester clubs could see that rise significantly.
On the back of a thoroughly impressive 2014 World Cup, Toni Kroos was ushered into Real Madrid.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder was given a four-year contract that only paled in comparison to Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to a contract leak, earlier this year, the German’s gross annual salary is €10.9m (£8.6m)
That salary may be increased further as, according to French outlet RMC Sport, Kroos is being courted by Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchesters United and City.
Laurent Blanc is said to want Kroos to replace Thiago Motta [33] from next season and is urging his board to do their utmost to secure his services.
Manchester United also have an ageing centre-midfielder, Michael Carrick, and are desperate for some quality in the middle of the park.
City are also on the hunt as Yaya Toure appears to be on his way out of Eastlands. Pep Guardiola has reportedly agreed not to bring any of his Bayern players with him to the Premier League, in his first season at least.
Kroos ticks just about every box Guardiola has for a midfielder so expect a bid from City. As he has two years left on his deal, the German international will command a figure in the region of £40m.
