Tahith Chong – remember the name.
In fairness, it’s not a name you’re likely to hear that often, so you might not have too much trouble remembering it.
But still, besides having a unique name, Chong has scored a dead good goal for Manchester United’s U-18 team at Old Trafford, and you almost certainly haven’t.
The 17-year-old, who hadn’t even been born when United won the treble back in 1999, netted a spectacular goal in the FA Youth Cup on Monday night at Old Trafford.
According to United’s profile of the player, Chong is an explosive player, capable of playing on the left-wing and up-front. The Dutch youngster joined the club from Feyenoord back in April and has impressed in his brief time in Manchester.
United manager Jose Mourinho was in attendance to witness Chong’s acrobatic effort against Southampton. However, Chong and his teammates went on to lose the game 2-1.
