It sounds as though Jose Mourinho has had enough of Luke Shaw.
Mourinho was asked about Shaw following Manchester United’s goalless draw with West Brom last Saturday, and was very critical of the 21-year-old, who wasn’t even on the bench for the game.
“Luke Shaw? It was difficult for him to be on the bench because I cannot compare him with Ashley Young, with Darmian, with Blind,” Mourinho said.
“The way he trains, the way he commits, the focus, the ambition, I cannot compare. He’s a long way behind.”

Shaw has made just eight appearances in the Premier League this season, his first campaign back since suffering a horrific double leg fracture in September 2015.
Mourinho is understood to have included the England international in United’s squad for the game against Everton on Tuesday night, but few would be surprised if Shaw leaves the club in the summer, just three years after joining from Southampton for £27m.
According to the Daily Mirror, the United manager has already lined-up a replacement for Shaw, who chose United over Mourinho’s Chelsea back in 2014.
Mourinho will reportedly make a bid for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney.
The 19-year-old has had a brilliant season with the Scottish champions, and has become a regular for the Scottish national team. Tierney also impressed in the Champions League and looks a very exciting prospect.
Tierney would reportedly cost United £10m.
According to the report:
“United have done extensive homework on the player, and sources say Mourinho and his staff are impressed by Tierney’s disciplined lifestyle and total dedication to his career.”
That could easily be read as a dig against Shaw, as Mourinho has previously criticised the player’s dedication.
