Manchester United to battle rivals City for £30million Belgian teenager

Derby duel

Manchester United already look to have struck gold with French teenager Anthony Martial and now have their eye on another brilliant youngster in January.

The Old Trafford club have been keeping tabs on Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans, whose rapid rise at Anderlecht has attracted the attentions of a host of Europe’s top sides.

The 18-year-old is the third youngest player ever to feature in the Champions League, when just 16, while he is already an established Under-21 international.

But the Daily Star reports that United’s advances will spark a £30million fight for Tielemans’ signature, with local rivals Manchester City leading the charge and Chelsea and Barcelona among those also monitoring the talented prospect.
