Going out in style.
If he really is hanging up his gloves, then Manny Pacquiao put a exclamation mark on his legendary career on Saturday night with a dominant performance against Timothy Bradley.
The Filipino star is standing for election to the senate in his homeland next month, but was fully focused on his third meeting with the American, who he outclassed throughout the 12 rounds.
The veteran picked up his 58th win in 66 career fights with a unanimous decision in Las Vegas, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-110 in Pacquiao’s favour.
Pacquiao showed off his precision and power, knocking Bradley down in the seventh and ninth rounds.

Pacquiao then confirmed his decision to retire in his post fight interview, ending his boxing career with an incredible record of world titles at eight weight classes.
“I was looking for a knockout every round,” he said.
“His style is to counter punch. But I countered him. He was different to the last two fights, and he improved.
“I can still fight – but I made the decision to retire tonight, work for my people and spend more time with my family.”
His career in politics will have to wait, though, at least until a breakfast date with Bradley this morning.
