Modern football, eh?
It’s so very 2016 to see the realms of Premier League football and New York hip hop merge but it seems to be the case as Manchester United’s prodigious new talent has drawn attention from none other than Jay Z.
Rashford has been a revelation since being promoted to the first team by manager Louis van Gaal, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances, and agencies are lining up to secure his signature.
One such agency is Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports who, according to The Sun, are keen to tie Rashford down to a contract.
Rashford’s rise to Premier League prominence has been a rapid one and the 18-year-old is still represented by his family, but Roc Nation Sports are eager to add the striker to their stable of sports stars which includes Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, boxer Andre Ward and NBA star Kevin Durant.
Rashford, who scored the winner against Aston Villa on Saturday, is set for contract talks with United this summer when his wage is set to be significantly increased as the club look to keep hold of one of the most exciting talents to emerge from their youth ranks in years.
